A film about how school feeding can be a catalyst for change in rural Madagascar
Widespread poverty, deforestation and climate change have devastated communities in Madagascar, leaving many struggling to survive. An estimated 250,000 children under the age of five are likely to suffer acute malnutrition.
Our new film, Walking Together, explores how Mary’s Meals’ school feeding program goes beyond simply reducing hunger and improving educational outcomes to be a catalyst for much deeper change for communities in rural Madagascar.
Featuring interviews with school feeding volunteers, teachers and the founder of Feedback Madagascar – one of our school feeding partners – the film discusses how school feeding empowers relationships with local communities to carry out important development projects.
