How we spend donations

It costs just $25.20 to feed a child in a place of education for a whole school year.

Mary's Meals started life operating out of a tin shed. The shed still serves as our global headquarters to this day.

As an organization working in some of the world’s poorest communities, we’re committed to keeping our running costs low to maximize the good we can do with the donations entrusted to us.

This is only possible because most of our work is done by an army of dedicated volunteers in the US and in the countries where we work who carry out lots of little acts of love on our behalf.

See the difference you can make.

The aims of Mary's Meals

The charity's constitution sets out the focus of our charitable activities as:

Mary’s Meals, USA, Inc. (“MMUSA”), is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 Florida corporation formed on May 14, 2008, to raise donations (i) to provide a daily meal in a place of education for children in the world’s poorest communities; (ii) to occasionally provide relief for those suffering, in any part of the world, as a result of humanitarian crises, especially by providing care for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children; and (iii) to raise awareness of poverty issues through education. MMUSA grants such donations at the discretion of its Board through Mary’s Meals International, headquartered in Dalmally, Scotland, for specific projects in these poor communities.

It costs just $25.20 to feed a child in a place of education for a whole school year.
