If you are new to Mary’s Meals, we will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this. If you do not want us to use your data in this way, please refrain from ticking the relevant box situated on the form or e-mail on which we collect your data (the registration form) or contact us

  • to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer

Any transfer of your personal information to any Mary’s Meals Affiliate will always be carried out in compliance with any applicable data protection legislation. Please note that if you are a non-European Economic Area (“EEA”) user of the Mary’s Meals website, your personal information may be transferred to the UK, before being transferred to a Mary’s Meals Affiliate in your jurisdiction. By using the Mary’s Meals website, you are agreeing to any such transfer of your personal information.

Mary’s Meals may disclose relevant information about you to our contractors in order for them to provide specific services for Mary’s Meals such as website hosting, professional services, including information technology services and related infrastructure, customer service, e-mail delivery, auditing and other similar services. Mary’s Meals’ contractors are bound to keep all personal information they process confidential.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties if Mary’s Meals or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its donors and volunteers will be one of the transferred assets.

This Privacy Policy does not govern other sites that are linked to the Mary’s Meals website.

Where we store your personal data

If you are resident in a country outside the EEA, the data that we collect from you may be transferred to, stored at and processed in, that same country outside the EE; and may also be processed by staff operating from that same country outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the processing of your donation payment details and the provision of support services.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. The Data Protection Act 1998 (Act) gives you the right to access information held about you. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
