Backpack project updates

We are very excited that our first Backpack Project in Miami was completed at the beginning of June.   The children worked hard in making sure all the items were in each and every backpack and some even sent notes or drawings for their future owners.  After two weeks of collecting and sorting we were able to deliver 45 boxes full of backpacks and 10 boxes of school supplies for the children in Haiti.

We want to thank St. Theresa Catholic School  for allowing us to use the school cafeteria to collect, sort, pack and store all the backpacks and supplies for this project .  In addition, we want to thank everyone who donated backpacks and materials with such enthusiasm and all the beautiful children that helped to make this project a great success.  Above all we want to thank the organizers from each school for their amazing hard work and support in this project:  Adriana Cala (The Cushman School), Alisa Newman (The Coconut Grove Montessori), Lourdes Diego, Sofi Spillis (The French American School), Maritza de Armas and Michelle Holder (St. Theresa Catholic School).
